About Me

Hi I’m Jamie and I’m here to help busy teachers be more present with their families and life outside the classroom by helping them teach their students to be more independent and take charge of their own learning.

You’re not just a teacher, you’re a human.

If you've found yourself here you're probably someone who's:

-A busy, overloaded teacher

-Exhausted by wanting to be an amazing teacher, but don’t want it to overtake your life

-A human, dog, cat, plant or some other type of parent that wants to be more present in your non-classroom life.

I got you.

That First Product?

My Khan Academy tracking sheet was my first ever product that allowed my students to track their own learning and be independent. Find it here!

A love of learning and teaching

I’m passionate about student learning. After college I got my masters in Educational Psychology and fell in love with the why and how students learn and what we as teachers need to do to guide that in our students.

I started creating resources when I couldn’t find helpful resources that allow the teacher to back off and let their students learn. I’ve found these strategies successful in my own classroom and feel like it’s important for teachers to be incorporating them into their own classroom.

Science and data are behind everything I do. With the amount of brain research we have now education should be using it to teach our students exactly how they should be taught.

As a busy mom of two boys (which some days feels like WAY more #boymomsknow) I create resources and share information that I would want my own child’s teacher to be using. And as a teacher I want to get home to them! As much as I love teaching it is my job not my life. I should be able to leave my classroom every evening and be ready to go back the next day without stress.

Now what can I do for you?
